Irish Dance (and Scottish country dancing)

Irish dance group

With no prior dance experience, I started learning Irish step dancing with Penn's Irish dance troupe in 2015. I was part of the 2016 Spring Show as well as the Legend of Ireland themed 2018 Show, for which I also coordinated costumes and props with the choreographers on a very limited budget. In addition, we performed at the UPenn Festival for International Students and at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for St. Patrick's Day. Unfortunately the dance troupe disbanded a few months ago. Recently, I've started learning Scottish country dancing with the Delaware Valley Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

Rock Climbing

Climbing picture

Rock climbing is a new hobby I've picked up in August 2018. Since then, I've spent many hours climbing and many more hours falling. But that makes it so much better when I finally succeed at a problem.

Drawing

Graphite and charcoal portraits

I started drawing and painting in high school and received a Boston Globe Gold Key for my self portrait in 2009 as a senior in high school. That was the peak of my art career, for better or worse. Nowadays, I still enjoy drawing portraits, mostly of characters from my favorite shows and movies.
